Li Xiaochun is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor of the Department of Economics at Nanjing University Business School.
He graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Jiangsu Institute of Education (1983), and obtained his Master's degree in Economics, and completed a doctoral program in Economics Research from Nagoya City University in 1993 and 1996 respectively. From March 1996 to September 2004, he worked as a research fellow in the Economics Research Division at Nagoya City University. He received Ph.D. in Economics in September 2003 and then served as associate professor of the Department of Economics at Nanjing University Business School and a research fellow of Yangtze River Delta Social and Economic Development Research Center in Nanjing University. In December 2008, he was promoted to professor of the Department of Economics.
Professor Li Xiaochun is actively involved in many research institutions and professional organizations. He has been listed as the Member of Japan Regional Society (since 2001) and Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Professionals Association (2007); Member of the CPPC in Nanjing Qixia District(2007-2017); Visiting Professor of International Economics Research Centre at Nagoya University (2012-2013); Director of China Labor Economics Association (since 2016); Executive Director of China Labor Economics Association (since 2017) and Deputy Editor of international magazine Asia-Pacific Journal of Regional Science (since 2016). Nanjing municipal government counselor (since 2018).
